“The Charming Flute” – 100% Romanian Music
“The Charming Flute”, a Radio Romania project, featuring flute player Ion Bogdan Stefanescu, and piano player Horia Mihail, will be presented in Washington, DC and New York by the Romanian Cultural Institute.
On March 18, at 6:30 pm, The Romanian Embassy in Washington, DC is the host of a compelling recital of Romanian music by Anton Pann, George Enescu , Tudor Ciortea, Paul Constantinescu, Petre Elinescu, Ciprian Porumbescu, Vasile Jianu, Ioan Dobrinescu and Tiberiu Brediceanu.
In New York City, one free recital is presented on March 20, 12 pm, at Victor Borge Hall – Scandinavia House (58 Park Ave, New York, NY 10016). This special recital is organized to mark the celebration of 25 years of Met Opera radio broadcasts in Europe.
